Stonecutter Records presents

An evening with

ACOUSTIC CHICAGO

Wednesday, November 26, 2008 @ SPACE in Evanston

Featuring Music by:

Jen Porter

With straightforward lyrics that relate universally and music that flows from one song to the next, jen has the ability to captivate any audience. The lyrics speak of life, love and lifting ourselves up when things don't go just right.

Whiskey Heartache

Whiskey Heartache's acoustic music blends elements and influences of folk, blues, rock and soul with touches of jazz and gospel. Wilson's honest expressive vocals are perfectly complemented by the classically trained, expert rhythm section.

Andreas Kapsalis

A virtuoso acoustic guitarist renowned for his experimental 8-finger tapping technique, Andreas seamlessly waves bass lines and chord changes with melodies on top, combining sounds and styles with odd-meters and complex compositions.

Anna Soltys

Inspired by greats such as Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash, Anna creates music that is both moving and sincere. Her expressive voice delivers introspective lyrics over guitar accompaniments that are often simple but always engaging.

Art by:

Anna finds the city in which she was raised, Paris, France, to have been a catalyst for her artistic vision. With hints of Dali’s surrealism and Picasso’s abstraction, Soltys develops her unique imagery based on shapes and feelings that arise as she works.

Misa is a Chicago metal and mix media artist born in the Czech Republic. Her sophisticated use of color, the polished rendering of the human body and her flare for powerful composition embody that which is Misa's artistic talent, skills and creativity.

Hosted by:

A fantastic musician in her own right (check her out on the Acoustic Chicago CD), Micki will also be bringing her charisma and originality to the show as the nights MC.

Special Guests:

Ginger Zee
NBC 5's go to green correspondent will be joining us at the show.
